When I first started writing a section titled “About Me”, I thought I would write about what I do, or used to do. I used to be a graduate student. Now, I’m a graduate. A quite happy graduate, actually. Officially, this means I’m an early-career PhD graduate. Unofficially , this means I’m looking for a job.

But, what about me. Who am I? Well, that’s a tough question. In ten words or less, I’m a young, enthusiastic, individual seeking adventure and research opportunities that make a BIG difference. 15 words. Yes, I want to make a BIG difference. So, I’ve started in Africa. In Zanzibar. Here I will ask: What information do people need to ‘manage’ a coral reef? It’s the same as asking, what information do we need to save the oceans, to teach a student, to paint a picture? Surprisingly, it’s a tough question to answer. So, that’s what I’m here to do. Better get started…
